I Got Nominated for the “Mystery Blogger Award”

I recently became a volunteer blogger for Women With Gifts International, and it has been great in every way. they are an international organization whose aim is to change the world one woman at a time, and since women’s issues is very dear to my heart, I’m glad to be one of them. They nominated me for the “Mystery Blogger” award, and I am extremely honored to be considered for this.

WHAT IS THE MYSTERY BLOGGER AWARD?

Now, I am going to answer the questions asked by WomenWithGifts:

If you could give any advice to any female in your life to inspire them, what would it be?

Right now, the best inspirational advice I can give anyone, is the same thing I tell myself every day – don’t be afraid, just go for it. Fear cripples and hinders us in so many ways. We’re scared of starting, we’re scared of ending things, we’re scared of what people will say, and if they’ll like us, or the stuff we do. So, to all the females in my life and those reading this right now, lose all forms of fear when it comes to your art, your craft, your talent, and your work. Don’t be scared to push yourself or to apply yourself in new ways, because even failure is a lesson.

What do daily to make yourself a better person?

I started working a lot towards my self development in 2018, both personally and professionally, and I fully embraced the self development lifestyle this year. I try everyday to make myself a more improved version of the person I was yesterday by leaning a new thing. It could be a random course online, or reading about a new topic, or learning a new way to do something – anything. I just make sure I learn a new thing or try a new thing everyday. It’s paid off because I’m so much better than I was at the beginning of this year.

What inspires your writing?

My writing is inspired by what I see, come across, and feel. If it interests me, I write. If it affects me, I write. If it bothers me, I write.

What have you done in 2019 that you are most proud of?

What I’m most proud of in 2019 has to be learning to put myself out there more. I am learning to apply myself in new ways without any fear, and so far it has paid off. I was accepted as a volunteer writer in two different international organizations, so yeah I’m super proud of that.

What can you see yourself doing with your writing a year from now?

Ummmmmmmmmmm. I don’t know YET but I think I might be working on releasing a compilation of some my shorter works as a downloadable ebook. I definitely want to improve on myself and my stuff before then. I also see myself making big bucks with my writing as a bad ass freelance writer.

So, I think it’s time to nominate other bloggers for this award, so here goes. I nominate (I’ll be using their first names and hyperlinking their blogs, so make sure to check them out!):

Ifeanyi

Fade

Jireh

Morolayo

I have these questions for you guys:

  • Why do you write?
  • If you could live anywhere in the world, where would be? Why?
  • What’s your favorite thing about being a writer/blogger?
  • What’s your favorite thing to do?
  • What’s your favorite book of all time? Why?

Make sure to check out WWG’s blog, and website, and donate to their cause if you can.

Hi there!

My name is Ru, or Oyinda. I’ve been reading for as long as I can remember, and my love for books has only grown stronger over the years. There’s something so special about getting lost in a story and then sharing those thoughts with others. On this blog, you’ll find book reviews, honest (and sometimes rambling!) bookish thoughts, recommendations across different genres, and many more for fellow book lovers. Whether you’re searching for your next read or just want to chat about books, you’re in the right place.
