This moisturizer that’s packaged like a hair cream (250ml) was basically forced on me at the mall (I think Shoprite in ICM), and I don’t regret buying it. I also use a Dark and Lovely shampoo and it’s amazing. When it comes to hair products, Dark and Lovely no dey follow anybody play. I remember using their Beautiful Beginning (their kids “branch”) products when I was younger. Moving on, I don’t know the current price now, but it was 1,999 naira when I bought it.

I have used it for about four months now, and it will soon finish. TEARS. I don’t use it every day. It might last for about 2 months if you want to use it every day. I use it after shampooing and deep conditioning; when I want to style my afro; when I want to add a bit or shine and moisture to my hair; and when I’m making my hair, to make it easier to comb and manipulate. IT IS GREAT FOR MOISTURE. Adding a bit of it to a section of hair makes it unbelievably softer and it lessens the pain that comes with making my hair. My hair is very thick and it’s an actual bush. It gets knotted up very easily – comes with the texture.

It smells amazing, and the feel is great. It is easily applied, and the packaging makes it easy to use. It’s my go-to for moisturizing and making my hair more workable, and it does the job in that aspect – that I can vouch for. I don’t think it does much in terms of hair growth or dandruff care; I didn’t buy it for that and they didn’t advertise it for those purposes, so I can’t complain.
In conclusion of the review, I can swear by this moisturizer, because it makes my hair – as in my hair o – super soft, and free of knots and tangles.
If you’re interested in getting yours, you can go to the Shoprite branch closest to you, I’ve never not seen it in stock there. I’m hoping to get another one soon as per my own go soon finish, and also try out the Dark and Lovely Knot Out Conditioner (I think this is their leave in conditioner).
That’s all for now. Thank you for reading this review. Please check out my other Product Reviews and Natural Hair posts. Don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe to my blog. Thank you!
