This was so thrilling and exciting to listen to. The narrator, Nikki Massoud, did a wonderful job of narrating the story, and she added a whole new dimension to it. She was great with the accents, the pronunciation of names, and the voices of the characters. She really made me feel like I was watching a TV show, and it made the listening experience so much more interesting.

It was a beautiful story, and I got so lost in it. It was sooo sooo good in so many ways. There were so many themes that the author brought together to create this perfect tale. There was magic, romance, politics, rivalry, and amazing world building. Melissa Bashardoust did a great job of building Saraya’s world with all it’s many parts. The romances in the novel were great and she did a great job with that as well. There were a variety of themes discussed in this book, such as betrayal, blame, love, hate, revenge, forgiving yourself and forgiving others, family, and self love and acceptance.

The characters were really great, but I wish we’d gotten to see more of some characters. The characters we saw a lot of, however, had a lot of depth and were well-written. There were a number of times where I felt a lot of pity for even the villains in this story.

If you’re looking for an amazing retelling with lots of elements that work well together, this one’s for you. With amazing world building, a pristine plot, and great characters, there’s a lot you’ll love.
