This was my first Leigh Bardugo book, and I can’t believe I waited this long to finally read it!

Six of Crows is such an amazing fantasy, and I love how it also played out as a Crime Drama. I enjoyed every single thing about this book, and I’m glad I read it. The book was so well written, and the characters were loveable and enjoyable. I loved reading about them and their relationship dynamics. The slow burn romance, the M/M romance, and the lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers romance. Another aspect I appreciate about this book is the absence of love triangles. There was a lot going on in this book, and triangles would have just muddled things up. The characters were so well developed, and I love how Leigh Bardugo wrote them. The story was told in multiple POVs, each chapter rotating among the characters – Kaz, Inej, Nina, Jesper, and Matthias. The author brilliantly used flashbacks to give us their backstories.
🦅
The worldbuilding was awesome. This isn’t the first book in the Grisha series, but with this book, I was able to get a hang on the Grisha hierarchy and what the world was like. I understood the magic, the politics, and the rules of the world.
🦅
The action was also insane, and I loved reading about all the fight scenes and the gang rivalry. As I mentioned earlier, I love the fact that this book has a lot of crime drama elements. The inclusion of gangs, their rivalry, and the hierarchies in the Barrel are great! The politics of the city were also interesting to navigate.
🦅
The audiobook narration was so so good, and I enjoyed it a bit too much. The narrators were amazing, and I loved that there was a full cast, at least 1 narrator for every main character with a POV.
🦅
I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
