🦅
Started this immediately after I finished Six of Crows . It was an amazing follow-up and I enjoyed it so so so much.
🦅
Starting right off from where Book 1 stopped, we see how the choices and events at the end of Six of Crows are affecting the characters. This book was so amazing and lovely and even funny at times in the midst of all the turmoil.
🦅
In this book, Wylan became one of the narrators, so the BIG SIX all told the story from their POV. Following from her writing style in SoC, each of them had their POV told in the third person, and we got more insight into their backstories. I also loved that the chapters of different characters told the same event from that person’s perspective. What I mean is, many times in this book, they had to split up and do things separately. SO, from Kaz’s POV for instance, we could follow what he was doing at one time before meeting the others. We could also get the next chapter from Nina’s POV telling what was happening on her own at the same time before they all met up – I hope this makes sense.
🦅
The worldbuilding in this book was, just like with the first book, so great and well done.
🦅
There’s a lot of action, secrets, twists, and turns in this book that make it so enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Double-crossed and badly weakened, the crew is low on resources, allies, and hope. As powerful forces from around the world descend on Ketterdam to root out the secrets of the dangerous drug known as jurda parem, old rivals and new enemies emerge to challenge Kaz’s cunning and test the team’s fragile loyalties.
